Full-time remote position
Our People Operations team is looking for a highly motivated Lawyer that wants to learn and be part of a growing DeFi team.
Be in charge of the employment law area and deal with regulatory issues related to employment matters.
Help and prepare independent contractors contracts with different specifications.
Provide employment-related support on transactional matters including contract drafting and negotiation, acquisition-related advice, and review of compensation and benefits plans.
Build together with HR (People Operations) the company ethic code, company handbooks, global policies and procedures, and affirmative action plans.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and maintain compliance with all relevant laws as it relates to company handbooks, global policies and procedures, etc.
Proactively monitor employment laws and provide and advice on developments that may affect the company.
Analyze casework trends to produce strategic, proactive recommendations to HR (People Operations) and the business to proactively address and mitigate risk.
Evaluate new business partnerships with vendors and subcontractors.
Requirements & Skills
BS degree in Law.
Knowledge of Cyprus employment law
2+ years’ experience as an employment lawyer in an international organization.
Knowledge of employment laws in numerous countries, particularly within Europe.
Experience in a tech company will be considered a plus
Strict compliance with required confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English
